A 14th century gambeson made in yellow linen, with a natural linen lining. This is emblazoned with the blue lion rampant of the Percy family (the Dukes of Northumberland). The gamby is made with a keyhole neckline, and has a front and a back split. The bottom hem is dagged. The padding is of wool blanketing, and the lion is cut from wool and sewn on by hand. |
