A late medieval padded jack, made in heavy weight linen, and lined in linen. The padding is layered organic cotton [aka batting], meaning that the jack is fully washable (with care). The quilting pattern seen on the body of the ack is based on the Lubeck jack (which is dated to approx. 1450 - 1475). The lightly curved sleeves are horizontally quilted. The front fastens with points, over an internal protective port piece. The point holes are hand sewn, over hidden metal rings. |
