A 15th century arming doublet, in blue linen, with black leather re-enforcement. The arming doublet is lightly padded, and lined in linen. It fastens at the centre front with handmade hooks and eyes, and there is a blue linen port piece to give added protection behind this opening. The underarms have gussets, and there is an additional one at the centre back, to allow maximum flexibility of movement. The doublet has hand sewn point holes at waist, shoulder and elbow, re-enforced with internal metal rings |
