A 15th century Burgundian style padded jack, similar to those seen in the work of Memling. The body is stuffed with wool fleece. The puffed sleeves are filled with more wool fleece. The jack fastens at the centre front, with hand made hooks and eyes. Behind the opening is a post piece. The outer of the jack is of a heavy linen, and it is lined with a lighter linen. |
