A late Tudor / Elizabethan doublet / jerkin (or
waistcoat

The jerkin is made in black leather, with woollen
internal padding.  This is quilted, in a crossed (or
diamond) pattern, through into the lining, which is
of black linen.

The jerkin has a standing collar (also padded), and
shoulder wings

The seams and the quilting
are done by machine, and the edges and other
external stitching is done by hand.


The front opening joins with a lace, and is
protected  by an internal leather port piece.
